“Merlin” will wrap up the third season next week on BBC. In the second part of “The Coming of Arthur“, Morgana has been crowned Queen of Camelot, and brings about its downfall. Meanwhile, Arthur forms a resistance against the new monarchy, Merlin believes he’ll struggle and goes to retrieve Excalibur. Can the new monarchy be stopped?

Lead star Colin Morgan revealed to Digital Spy, “Huge iconic elements from the legends are happening. You’ll see the formation of a certain famous band of knights, possibly seated at some form of table! There’s also elements from the past. Things that have been buried since season one are going to resurface, literally! You’re also going to see the kingdom and those who rule it overthrown and taken over by a dark force. Camelot is in dire straits. All the heroes are forced to form a vigilante gang to fight against it all.”
The season finale airs Saturday, December 4. Stateside, the series which was ditched by NBC, would premiere the third season on Syfy this January 7. In the meantime, Morgan said the fourth season would start again next year around March in U.K. The actor is hoping his character would grow wiser and use cool magical stuff.

Anne Hathaway stepped into the shoes of princess-to-be Kate Middleton this weekend when she joined Andy Samberg for a foul-mouthed spoof about the engagement of Prince William on hit U.S. comedy show “Saturday Night Live“.

The Hollywood actress donned a cheap copy of Middleton’s sapphire blue engagement dress to portray the British royal’s new fiancee, opposite Samberg as William, during a raucous sketch on Saturday’s episode. The segment saw William introduce her to his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Phillip – played by Fred Armisen and Bill Hader, respectively.
During the sketch, Middleton told the monarch, “I love your grandson very much and I’m honored to join the Windsor family.” But the royals turned on Middleton as soon as William left the room and adopted East London Cockney accents as they quizzed the brunette beauty about her real intentions and accused her of wanting a piece of the “palace action”.
Armisen, as the Queen, said, “You think you can just show up and take over and do a bit of Queening?” But it was Hader’s Prince Phillip impersonation which had Hathaway and viewers alike gaping in awe at his crass comments as he made references to William’s mother, the late Diana, Princess of Wales; Grace Kelly, the late Princess of Monaco; and Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson, the controversial ex-wife of Prince Andrew.
Phillip told Hathaway’s Middleton, “When it comes to being a wife, when you’re out there waving to a parade, you be Princess Di, you be Princess Grace. But in the bedroom think Fergie.”
Hathaway also drew laughs in a sketch about fellow actress Katie Holmes, impersonating the “Batman Begins” star as she was questioned about everything from her transition from TV to Hollywood, her daughter Suri’s fashion sense and her thoughts on Scientology. Some of the videos are below while the Kate Middleton sketch is protected by copyright.
ABC offers a second helping of “V” season 2 which premieres on January 4. The promo reminds fans why some human beings now take a stance against the Visitors. The last time viewers saw of them was when Father Jack gave a heartfelt sermon about how human are blinded by the false prophets.

The season premiere is titled “Red Rain”. TV Guide says the red sky that Anna unleashed at the end of last season’s finale will open up and “seriously ruin Erica and Tyler’s day” within the first 5 minutes of the episode. “It’s so much better,” Elizabeth Mitchell who plays Erica said in August about the new chapter. “We kinda set the groundwork and it’s off and running, which I needed it to be. And it’s more fun for me.”
Fans can look out for the guest starring appearance of Jane Badler from the original “V” series playing Anna’s mysterious mother. She was initially signed for 4 episodes only but her run has been extended to 10 episodes. Meanwhile, there’s also Jay Karnes as Erica’s new FBI partner.
Michaela McManus is curly and sexy on “The Vampire Diaries“. As previously reported the “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” regular is moonlighting on The CW series as a friend of Mason Lockwood named Jules. The first look of her in the character has been released via Movie Line.

Jules is seen in the bar, talking to Damon in a serious manner. The vampire, backed up by Alaric, grills the new girl about her connection to Mason. Jules came to Mystic Falls in search of Mason, not knowing that he has already been killed by Damon.
The episode is called “By the Light of the Moon” and it is airing December 9 aka the show’s midseason cliffhanger. McManus is signed for multiple episodes so she is most likely staying until early next year.
“The Vampire Diaries” is taking a three-week break to return on December 2 with “The Sacrifice”. Elena decides to take matters into her own hands and offers a tempting incentive to Rose for her help. When things take an unexpected turn, however, Rose calls on Damon to deal with the plan Elena has set in motion.
