After scoring an interview with the Kardashians, Oprah Winfrey may return the favor by appearing on the famed family’s reality show. It has been reported that the “Oprah’s Next Chapter” host has agreed to guest star on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians“.

A source told Us Weekly that the former daytime talk-show queen “was so enamored with the clan” that “Oprah signed the release!,” meaning that footage from her recent visit to the family’s pad can be used on the E! reality show.
The source additionally gushed that Winfrey and Khloe Kardashian bonded during the interview. “She and Khloe especially hit it off. Khloe had her dying laughing,” the source revealed. “It meant so much because she loves Oprah!”
Kim Kardashian, meanwhile, almost made Winfrey cry when talking about her short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries. “I’ve obviously made plenty of mistakes in my lifetime, but I’m not the type to sit and beat myself up over it. If a real lesson was learned, I’m so okay with having experienced that,” the 31-year-old reality star confessed, to which the host reply, “That is so perfect I could weep.”
The Kardashians drew a big rating for OWN, with the second-part of the interview aired on Sunday, June 24 pulling in 1.2 million viewers. It was up 9% from the first part, which aired the week before.
Although the family’s appearance gave a boost to the struggling network’s rating, Lisa Ling who serves as a special correspondent for Winfrey’s cable channel recently said, “I had my issues with the Kardashians, absolutely. I think there’s so much wrong with how they are the most revered family in the country, but they are, nevertheless.”
Still, she understood Winfrey’s decision to enlist them on her talk show. “So I get why Oprah wanted to interview them. I mean, they are icons in pop culture right now,” the journalist told Access Hollywood Live. “People are interested in what they think about things for some strange reason.”

“Girls” fans may not have to wait a whole year for the second season of the Lena Dunham-created show. According to Judd Apatow who serves as a co-executive producer, the comedy series may return for its new chapter in early 2013.

“yes. Looking like January,” so the director/writer tweeted in reply to a question about whether or not “Girls” will return for a season 2. The critically-acclaimed series was previously launched on HBO on April 14.
The cable channel ordered the second season of the dark comedy in late April, after it grossed 3.8 million total weekly viewers. The first season wrapped this Sunday, June 17, with a huge shocker as Jessa impulsively married Thomas John, the man whom she and Marnie met in episode 8.
Shoshanna lost her virginity to Ray after saying “everyone’s a dumb w***e,” while Marnie moved out of the apartment she shared with Hannah.

At least one person is not too fond of “The Voice” back-to-back seasons. Speaking backstage at the CMA Festival on Friday, June 8, Blake Shelton admitted he has expressed his objection about shooting the show in spring and fall, but finally realized that things need to be compromised.

“At some point, something’s gotta give,” so he addressed this issue. “I’ve been very vocal with the network and Mark Burnett’s production company. It’s like ‘Man, this sucks, because the reason that you want the four of us is because we’re viable artists right now-current. And we can’t do both, if we do back-to-back seasons.’ I’ve been hammering ‘em about it.”
Though so, the CMT Music Award winner said he still loves working on the reality show. “I look forward to that,” so he claimed. “I love it, and I can’t imagine not being a part of The Voice, ever. I mean, I’d love to do it from now on. But it just needs to work in a way that I can still come out here and see these people that are here (attending the CMA Festival) tonight across the country and do that at the same time. So, something’s gotta give.”
Confirming the production schedule for the NBC talent show, the husband of country music songstress Miranda Lambert affirmed, “We are gonna do this fall.” He added, “We’ve already committed to that. And in fact we start in a week or two, filming it again.”
NBC announced in May that “The Voice” will return for its third season in the fall on the same slots, 8 P.M.-10 P.M. on Monday and 8 P.M.-9 P.M. on Tuesday. At the time, NBC’s entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt also revealed that he planned to add the spinning chairs from the audition phase into the battle rounds.
Beside Shelton, the other three judges/mentors Adam Levine, Cee-Lo Green and Christina Aguilera will all return and sit on the spinning chairs.

The Ghostface may spread his terror on the small screen. It has been reported that MTV is developing a weekly series based on the “Scream” film franchise, which came from writer Kevin Williamson and director Wes Craven.

According to TVLine, former MTV executives Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley are on board to serve as executive producers under their DiGa production banner. They are currently looking for a writer to pen the project.
It’s still unclear what Williamson and Craven will have on the TV series. They worked together on all four “Scream” movies, with the latest installment being released in 2011.
Featuring Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere as new characters, “Scream 4” also brought back original stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette. It grossed $97.1 million worldwide.
