“The Voice” has just aired two episodes from its second season, but already report of the possible third season hits the web. According to The Wrap, Christina Aguilera has sealed a new contract that will make sure she’ll return as a judge/mentor for the next installment.
The “Burlesque” actress is said to be the first of four judges to re-up her contract, which is believed to be amounted to $10 million. A so-called insider close to the show, however, claims that the contract is worth less than the aforementioned amount.
The site further reports that NBC considers to premiere “The Voice” season 3 this fall instead of waiting until 2013. However, a spokesman for the Peacock states that no decision has been made about whether the show’s third season would air in the fall.
An insider at the network, meanwhile, reveals that they expect all four judges, including Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, to return in the new installment. “We’re really pleased with the entire cast. You look at [the] ratings and it’s no accident,” so the insider gushes.

“A Mind with a Heart of its Own” – Jules ends up asking both Ellie and Laurie to be her “co-maids” of honor because she can’t stand to hurt anyone’s feelings; and Grayson tries to ask Chick (guest star Ken Jenkins, “Scubs”) for Jules’ hand in marriage formally, but Chick decides to have a little fun in the process, on “Cougar Town,” TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.
“Cougar Town” stars Courteney Cox as Jules, Christa Miller as Ellie, Busy Philipps as Laurie, Dan Byrd as Travis, Josh Hopkins as Grayson, Ian Gomez as Andy and Brian Van Holt as Bobby.
Guest stars include Ken Jenkins as Chick and Robert Clendenin as Tom.

Gearing up for the return of “Cougar Town“, a highlight reel for the upcoming third season is released. The ten-minute video offers a lot of scenes from the new chapter, including the one which sees Jules dividing the maids of honor’s duties between Laurie and Ellie.
In another scene, Jules and her son Travis disgust Grayson when they eat with their bare hands. Grayson, meanwhile, may upset Jules with his wedding picture and by telling her that she is predictable. There are additionally some hilarious stunts involving Jules, Andy and Ellie in different scenes.
Cougar Town season 3 is set to premiere on Tuesday, February 14 at 8:30/7:30c on ABC. Spilling the beans from the upcoming season, creator Kevin Biegel has said, “The third season starts with Jules and Grayson getting engaged, and it ends with them getting married.”
Courteney Cox’s estranged husband David Arquette has recently been tapped to guest star in the season finale as a hotel concierge.
“Sons of Anarchy” will return for at least two more seasons. After ordering a fifth season for the drama series back in October last year, FX has just announced that it picks up the show about a group of outlaw bikers for a sixth season.
The renewal comes just days after creator/showrunner Kurt Sutter sealed a new three-year deal to continue running “SOA” and to develop new projects for FX and 20th Century Fox TV. It is believed that a seventh and likely final season of the drama series is also part of Sutter’s plan, though he is open to the possibility of the show living beyond that.
“There’s a part of me that does see being able to tell this story in seven seasons, but there’s a part of me that doesn’t want to say, ‘That’s it’,” the often outspoken writer recently told The Hollywood Reporter. “If there’s more story to be told after seven seasons and if financially it’s still a feasible endeavor, I’m definitely open to doing more.”
“SOA” currently holds the title of FX’s highest-rated program. The fourth season, which wrapped in December, garnered 8.4 million total weekly viewers and 5.5 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic. The fifth season is expected to premiere this fall.
ABC Family has ordered the fifth season of “The Secret Life of the American Teenager“. The renewal makes the Shailene Woodley-starring teen drama series the longest-running show in the network’s history as well as takes the show into its 100th episode.
In addition to renewing “Secret Life”, the cable channel also gave series orders to a multicamera half-hour “Baby Daddy” and a reality series “Beverly Hills Nannies”. Both shows will begin production this spring for a summer release.
The former is a comedy featuring Chelsea Kane (previously known as Chelsea Staub) and Tahj Mowry in the cast ensemble, and will follow “a young man who becomes a surprise dad to a baby girl when she’s left on his doorstep by an ex-girlfriend.” The unscripted program, meanwhile, revolves around “the lives of a group of nannies working for families in the most exclusive zip code in the country.”
