Audience was able to see only 17 episodes of the series. The creators of the series namely Matthew Graham, Tony Jordan and Ashley Pharoah, made a good attempt but were not able to make a mark in the minds of the viewers.

Due to lack of viewership Life on Mars series were not renewed for another season. Though the series was critically acclaimed for its acting and the way the time of 1970s was portrayed in its episodes.

Those who do not remember the Life on Mars episodes much, the series revolved around a detective named Sam Tyler (Jason O’ Mara), how his life changes after a car accident as he reaches back in time in 1973. At first Tyler is showed confused adjusting to the new time but as the episodes proceeds he finds that both the worlds are fictitious. Later the story became a bit confusing leading to viewers losing interest in it.

The cast of Life on Mars series comprised of Jason O’ Mara, Michael Imperiolo, Gretchen Mol, Jonathan Murphy and Harvey Keitel. All of them moved to their different projects. Like presently Jason O’ Mara, who played Detective Sam Tyler can be seen in his upcoming thriller movie named “One for the Money”. He can also be seen in the main lead role of TV series “Terra Nova”, which will be starting this September.

Fans of Detective Ray Carling of Life on Mars episodes, Michael Imperioli, can catch him in “Stuck between Stations” movie and in “Foreclosure”.

But those who want to see the cast together can watch “Life on Mars” online.
