Person of Interest is an American drama television series broadcasting on CBS. It is based on a screenplay developed by J. J. Abrams and Jonathan Nolan. The series was officially picked up by CBS on May 13, 2011, and debuted on September 22, 2011.
Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson), a mysterious billionaire, has developed a computer program that predicts the identity of people connected to violent crimes that will take place in the future. However, the program has its limitations; for example, it cannot predict whether the person will be a victim, perpetrator, or witness, nor can it predict when or where the crime will take place. Unable to stop the crimes on his own, Finch hires John Reese (Jim Caviezel), a former CIA field officer who is presumed dead, to help stop the crimes from taking place.

The pilot episode establishes that Finch originally built the machine for the government as a means to prevent another 9/11-type disaster, but found that it was also predicting many “irrelevant” crimes. Finch built a backdoor into the machine that, before erasing the “irrelevant data” each night, sends Finch a single Social Security number of someone involved in one of those crimes. Finch also reveals that the world thinks that he, like Reese, is dead.

Dexter is an American television drama series that centers on Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a bloodstain p
attern analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department who moonlights as a serial killer.
The show debuted on October , 2006, on Showtime and the fifth season ended on December 12, 2010. As of December 2, 2010, the show has been renewed for a sixth season. Set in Miami, the show’s first season was largely based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay, the first of his series of Dexter novels. Subsequent seasons have evolved independently of Lindsay’s works. It was adapted for television by screenwriter James Manos, Jr., who wrote the pilot episode.
Dexter structures his killing around “the Code of Harry”, a body of ethics and procedures devised by his adoptive father Harry Morgan (who was a Miami cop) to make sure Dexter never gets caught and to ensure that Dexter kills only other killers. Harry also trained Dexter in how to interact convincingly with other people despite his dissociative mental illness, which Harry believed to be psychopathy, arising from Dexter witnessing the brutal murder of his biological mother, Laura Moser. As an adult, Dexter has largely escaped suspicion (with some exceptions) by being genial and generous and maintaining generally superficial relationships. However, his attachment to his foster (and ultimately adoptive) sister, Debra, his girlfriend (later wife), Rita, his stepchildren, Astor and Cody, and later his biological son, Harrison, have all complicated his double life and made him question his need to kill. In fact, in the first season, newly found memories of his mother’s murder set in motion the slow but steady humanization of Dexter, progressing further with each season, as Dexter begins to experience a variety of emotions for the first time in years.
In February 2008, edited reruns began to air on CBS. The series has enjoyed wide critical acclaim and popularity. Season 4 aired its season finale on December 13, 2009 to a record-breaking audience of 2.6 million viewers, making it the most-watched original series episode ever on Showtime.[1] Michael C. Hall has received several awards and nominations for his portrayal of Dexter, including a Golden Globe. The series was picked up by Showtime for a sixth season, which was billed as not being the final season, leaving possibilities open for a seventh.

Chaos is an upcoming TV series created by Tom Spezialy for the CBS network. The series is set to premiere on April 1, 2011, replacing The Defenders. The film stars Eric Close as Michael Dorset, Christina Cole as Adele Ferrer, Carmen Ejogo as Fay Carson, James Murray as Billy Collins,Tim Blake Nelson as Casey Malick, Freddy Rodriguez as Rick Martinez and Kurtwood Smith as H.J. Higgins.

Plot: Chaos is a comedic drama about a group of rogue CIA spies in the Clandestine Administration and Oversight Services (CHAOS), who combat threats to national security amidst bureaucratic gridlock, rampant incompetence and political infighting. The team tackles high risk foreign intelligence missions using manipulation, deception and wit to succeed. Rick Martinez was dismayed when his dream job as a spy was eliminated on his first day. However, CIA Deputy Director H.J. Higgins, a calculating mastermind and the head of CHAOS, recognizes Rick’s unique skill set and places him as an unwitting mole inside the department. Martinez joins the team under Michael Dorset, a psychologist turned CIA operative and a tactical genius motivated by pure paranoia. Working with Martinez is Scottish-born Billy Collins, de-commissioned from the British Secret Service and deported from the United Kingdom; Casey Malick, a 12 year veteran of the agency with an understated demeanor and the ability to transform into a “human weapon.” While Martinez’s instincts on who he can trust are constantly tested, he may have a worthy confidant in the new Deputy Director, Adele Ferrer, who seems to have his best interests at heart. Or should he rely on officer Fay Carson, an alluring agent and an expert at deciphering people’s “tells?” Attacking each assignment with unparalleled confidence and gusto, these operatives perform covert operations, exert political influence and eradicate all manner of evil – and that’s just to survive the morning staff meeting.

Criminal Minds is an American police procedural drama that premiered September 22, 2005, on CBS. The series follows a team of profilers from the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) based in Quantico, Virgi
nia. The BAU is part of the FBI National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime. Criminal Minds differs from many procedural dramas by focusing on the criminal rather than the crime itself. The show is produced by The Mark Gordon Company in association with CBS Television Studios and ABC Studios. The original title for Criminal Minds was Quantico, and the pilot was filmed in Vancouver. In the Quantico script, Jason Gideon was named Jason Donovan. The show is created by Jeff Davis. CBS announced in October 2009 that Legacy Interactive will develop a video game based on the show. The game will require players to examine crime scenes for clues to help solve murder mysteries. The game is scheduled to come out early 2011.[dated info]
On May 18, 2011, CBS renewed the series for a seventh season.

How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom that premiered on CBS on September 19, 2005, created by Craig Thomas and Carter Bays.
How I Met Your Mother is a comedy about Ted (Josh Radnor) and how he fell in love. When Ted’s best friend, Marshall (Jason Segal, Freaks and Geeks), decides to propose to his long-time girlfriend, Lily (Alyson Hannigan, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Ted realizes that time may be running out on finding the love of his life. His friend Barney (Neil Patrick Harris, Doogie Howser MD) is the anti-Marshall, a guy who thinks he knows everything about meeting women and isn’t afraid to tell you.

Ted first meets Robin (Cobie Smulders, Veritas the Quest), and he believes that she is the woman for him. Soon he realizes that he may not be right after all. Bob Saget (Full House) narrates the story with voiceovers as we follow along flashbacks from the future when he is telling his children the story of how he met their mother.

Created by Anthony Zuiker, the CBS cop series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, which first aired on October 6, 2000, could be described as “Quincy for the 21st century.” Set in Las Vegas, the weekly, 60-minute series focused on the activities of that city’s Crime Scene Investigations Bureau. Working the overnight shift, the principal characters deployed state-of-the-art forensic technology to solve unsolvable crimes. Whenever scientific analysis failed, however, the lab’s “criminalists” relied upon good, old-fashioned logic — logical to them, if not to their superiors. So efficient was the CSI team that it was rated the number two such crime lab in America.

Season 10
The CBS procedural drama Criminal Minds centered around the FBI’s elite Behavioral Analysis Unit, whose job it was to psychologically profile the country’s most dangerous criminals. Heading the unit was Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin), who despite an abundance of personal problems was a positive genius at getting “inside” the heads of serial killers and other habitual predators, enabling him to anticipate the criminals’ next moves and to (hopefully) prevent their future crimes. Other members of Gideon’s “mind hunters” included Aaron “Hotch” Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), Elle Greenway (Lola Glaudini), Richard Slessman (DJ Qualls), Tim Vogel (Andrew Jackson), and Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler). Originally titled Quantico and executive produced by Mark Gordon (The Day After Tomorrow), the weekly, 60-minute Criminal Minds debuted with a special preview on September 22, 2005.

The CSI influence was deeply ingrained in this CBS cop drama starring Kathryn Morris as Detective Lilly Rush. The only female member of the Philadelphia homicide squad, the gorgeous, courageous, and brilliant Lilly dedicated her life to reopening long-unsolved criminal cases, tracking down the original witnesses and utilizing the latest investigative technology to nail the well-hidden perps. The series was distinguished by weekly flashback sequences, showing those involved in the case at hand as they were “then” and “now.” (This technique was generously lavished on the opening episode, which was clearly inspired by the Michael Skakel murder case). Also in the cast was John Finn as Lilly’s boss and mentor, Lt. Tom Stillman. Cold Case debuted September 28, 2003.
