The CSI influence was deeply ingrained in this CBS cop drama starring Kathryn Morris as Detective Lilly Rush. The only female member of the Philadelphia homicide squad, the gorgeous, courageous, and brilliant Lilly dedicated her life to reopening long-unsolved criminal cases, tracking down the original witnesses and utilizing the latest investigative technology to nail the well-hidden perps. The series was distinguished by weekly flashback sequences, showing those involved in the case at hand as they were “then” and “now.” (This technique was generously lavished on the opening episode, which was clearly inspired by the Michael Skakel murder case). Also in the cast was John Finn as Lilly’s boss and mentor, Lt. Tom Stillman. Cold Case debuted September 28, 2003.

“Shattered” – Valens partners with Rush to locate her sister, who was abducted from her drug-littered motel room, and Jeffries tries to bring justice and closure to a long-suffering mother whose daughter’s murder case has remained unsolved for 17 years, on part two of the seventh season finale of COLD CASE, Sunday, May 2 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Music by the iconic Rolling Stones, including a never-before-heard track, will rock exclusively throughout the episode. The song, “So Divine (Aladdin Story),” will be one of 10 never-before-heard bonus Stones tracks when their album, Exile on Main Street, is re-released on May 18. The episode’s additional songs are “Tumbling Dice” (also from Exile on Main Street), “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker),” “Beast of Burden,” “Slave,” “Undercover of the Night” and “Winter.”

Erica Hubbard (“Lincoln Heights”) plays the victim in Jeffries’ case, and Kevin Chapman (“Brotherhood”) portrays one of the original officers who worked on the case.
