There’s some great news for all you Bones fans out there (myself included). FOX has reported that the upcoming Season 7 will introduce a new villain to go up against Dr. Brennan, Agent Booth, and the rest of the team at the Jeffersonian. Executive producer Stephan Nathan spoke a little bit about what to expect from this new big bad, saying, “This is someone who is an extremely odd and fearless foe.” This villain will be a recurring killer for Booth and Brennan to investigate, much like The Gravedigger and Gormogon were “Only he’s going to be much more of a 21st-century, tech-savvy foe.”
The show will be airing later than usual due to Emile Deschanel’s pregnancy, allowing her to go on maternity leave. The season will premier Nov. 6, and the first six episodes will deal with Brennan and Booth dealing with how they will raise a baby together, while also introducing us to the new killer. “At the end of [Episode] 6, we want to leave with a real surprise for the audience from a plot point of view,” Nathan says. “I’m not necessarily talking about Booth and Brennan… [but this] nefarious character, who we will follow for a little bit this season and perhaps next.”
Until we finally meet this bad guy on screen, we’ll just have to spend our time hypothesizing how he kills his victims and in what way he is “tech-savvy”. Will he get a clever killer moniker? So many questions and so much time to wait.
Dimly based on the life of forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs, “Bones” is a police procedural drama TV Show which focuses on a series of FBI case files shrouded in mystery. Sometimes, to unravel a murder, you have to strip it to the bone and that’s what this show is doing… literally. When the human remains are badly burned, decomposed or destroyed, when traditional identification methods are in vain, FBI needs Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan’s help. A forensic anthropologist who works at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington D.C., but also a best selling crime novelist, she has the ability to read clues left behind in a victim’s bones. While most people don’t understand her skill, intelligence and the way she struggles to unriddle each case, FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth is the exception. A former sniper, he didn’t trust in science or scientists who go at a crawl, but he realized that his team and Dr. Temperance Brennan’s knowledge are a fiendish combination.

BONES Season 7 Episode 3 The Prince In The Plastic Photos : After the remains of a female toy company executive are found shrink-wrapped with a Prince Charming doll, the company’s CEO (guest star Morgan Fairchild) gives Booth and Sweets access to the company headquarters’ highly classified prototype lab, where details of the victim’s personal life begin to emerge. Meanwhile, Sweets, with the support of his girlfriend, squint Daisy Wick (guest star Carla Gallo), prepares for his gun certification test despite Booth’s opposition to Sweets carrying a weapon. Mom-to-be Brennan, wonders whether she will be a good mother and uses the case as a way to understand the importance of toys and playing with her child in the all-new “The Prince in the Plastic” episode of BONES airing Thursday, Nov. 17 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Bones season 7 continues this week with episode 2, “The Hot Dog in the Competition,” and along with working a case, Booth and Brennan will be dealing with some personal issues when their baby’s gender is revealed—but she knew before him.
Season 7 episode 2 “The Hot Dog in the Competition” sneak peeks
There are a few sneak peeks that have been released in addition to the promo (here) for the next episode, which takes everyone into the world of competitive eating for the case. What’s going on in the lab and with Booth and Brennan?
The first clip (below) features Cam digging into the remains when Caroline confronts her about Finn’s background. Apparently someone else also talked to her about him. Cam’s not concerned and thinks Caroline shouldn’t have a say in whom she hires, but Caroline’s looking into the future and possible accusations about the lab. However, Cam points out that even Brennan thinks he’s smart, so what he did as a youth shouldn’t be held against him. Cam’s determined to give him a chance and sends Caroline away. Is she right to trust Finn? Will he be helpful in solving cases?
The second Bones sneak peek (below) shows Booth and Brennan at the festival, where she’s determined to see everything through his eyes. He remarks that being around all the food while pregnant doesn’t hurt, and she says he’s seeing things through her eyes as well. How will this experiment go for the couple?
The third clip (below) shows Booth and Brennan joining the audience in watching an eating competition, and Brennan has done some research into the methods used. Booth gets into it, even calling it a sport, and Brennan remarks that his adrenaline is surging—like a battle without danger. The crowd is chanting, “eat,” and Booth and Brennan join in. It looks like they’re having fun.
In the fourth (below), Booth tells Brennan they have to go back to where they were and gives some directions, but she instead makes a quick U-turn—just like he would. She’s thinking about sex again—and says he is too. If there are more scenes like this one with Brennan spending time in Booth’s shoes after not telling him about her ultrasound that revealed their baby’s sex, it should be quite funny.
What do you think of the Bones sneak peeks from “The Hot Dog in the Competition”?

November 3rd is just a couple days away, and along with it comes Season 7 of Bones, a season that will be unlike any other as it appears Booth and Brennan will finally be together. Fans have been assuming the two would at last start a relationship after Brennan revealed she was pregnant with Booth’s child in the sixth season finale, and Fox adds fuel to the fire with what I would call the ultimate shipper video.
Embedded below is the latest promo for the seventh season premiere and it heavily focuses on the Booth/Brennan romance, featuring various clips from through out the shows previous seasons. It’s sickeningly sweet as Brennan talks about believing Booth that love exists and showing the two kissing. This promo gets to me every time I watch it. When I started watching Bones, it wasn’t for the cases. I came back week after to week for Booth and Brennan (and the other characters). It has done remarkably well spreading the romance out this long. Normally show’s begin to feel weighed down by “will they or won’t they” drama, but Bones managed to make it work until now.
The premiere, titled “The Memories in the Shallow Grave”, airs on Thursday as I said, and you can head over to Boomtron’s sister site, Criminal Complex to check out promo photos for the premiere, as well as photos for episode 2, “The Hot Dog in the Competition”.
