Last week’s episode of ‘Glee‘ marked the anticipated return of The Warblers — and the preppy jackets, those blue and red striped ties and all that adorable sidestepping.
In a newly released video, Fox takes us behind the scenes with Darren Criss as he returns to Dalton Academy and performs ‘Uptown Girl’ with The Warblers. Fangirls, be ready because Criss is really going to melt your hearts in this one.
“It’s just so much fun to be a Warbler,” Criss says. “I think everybody at some point in their life should be a Warbler.”
You can sign us up any day. Gleeks, watch the super cute Warbler video after the jump.
We especially like the official Warbler hazing ‘Glee’ newbie Grant Gustin receives. For playing such a boyfriend-stealing, backstabbing new character, Gustin is actually quite adorable in this clip.
Also, be on the lookout for a cameo from ‘Glee’ choreographer Zach Woodlee.

Episode Synopsis: A new foreign-exchange student (Damian McGinty) enrolls at McKinley and crashes with Brittany, who thinks he’s a leprechaun. Meanwhile, Mercedes tries to recruit members for Shelby Corcoran’s new glee club; and Sue’s congressional campaign heats up. Original Air Date: Nov 1, 2011
The Glee Project‘s Damian McGinty makes his debut in this week’s episode of Glee as Rory, a foreign exchange student from Ireland — or a leprechaun, according to Brittany.
In order to get to her “pot o’ gold,” Brittany tells Rory he has to grant her three wishes, her first of which is simple: Get her a box of all-marshmallow Lucky Charms. Unfortunately for Rory, his own wishes of fitting in at McKinley High aren’t coming true.
Meanwhile, Sue’s rampage on the arts continues as she publically complains that the school musical budget is well over $2,000, money that could be spent elsewhere. She urges the citizens of Ohio to call McKinley and complain. Flushed with angry phone calls, Principal Figgins is forced to cut West Side Story. Will, however, is determined to keep it alive and have New Directions raise the money themselves.
Trying to poach other members of New Directions, Mercedes approaches Santana, imploring her to join Shelby’s new all-girl glee club. Mercedes taps into Santana’s frustrations by explaining that she’ll no longer have to play second-fiddle to Rachel. Santana, however, would never leave precious Brittany behind. Overhearing their conversation, Finn asks new kid Rory to keep an eye on the situation in case Brittany decides to defect from New Directions as well.
Back at New Directions, the glee club is crushed that they’ve lost Mercedes. Her exit has scratched the surface of drama within the group, especially between Blaine and Finn, who is jealous of the former Warbler, and worries that he’ll steal all the solos.
Will sets the club on a mission to acquire funds for the musical by selling ads in the program. When Kurt asks his dad to buy an ad, Burt gets all the funeral parlors to buy every ad and fund the musical in full. Burt’s next mission? To raise as much money as possible to make sure Sue doesn’t get elected. Though Sue threatens him, he doesn’t back down one bit and it’s completely refreshing to see someone that couldn’t care one bit what she says for once.
After convincing Shelby to let them babysit Beth, Quinn and Puck take over parenting duties for a night. Quinn has other plans, however, and decides to plant evidence — baby Botox and baby sacrificial books — in Shelby’s apartment that proves she’s an unfit mother.
Rory finally delivers the all-marshmallow box of Lucky Charms, so now he’s two wishes away from getting Brittany’s pot o’ gold. Hoping to move things along, he asks Brittany to dinner, but she says she has plans with a friend. Downtrodden, Rory sings “Bein’ Green” from Sesame Street.
Brittany’s “friend” is none other than Santana, who ponders whether the pair are officially dating, explaining that she’s really happy. Brittany is also happy because of her leprechaun who will grant her wishes. Santana expresses that her wish is to join Shelby’s new glee club, but can’t do it without Brittany. Brittany says she needs a day to think about it, so in the meantime, Santana wishes for Brittany to hold her hand.
Pool boy Puck usually has luck with the cougars, but whipping out pictures of his baby isn’t helping his game. Quinn says that Puck needs to finally get a real job so they can eventually support Beth, who should be in their custody within two weeks since Quinn already called child services.
After the group learns that the musical is still on, Blaine says he wants to remind the group that the magic is still alive, so he sings Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F).” Still, Finn isn’t too pleased that Blaine is encroaching on his territory. Santana is also upset because this year’s sectionals will be “The Blaine and Rachel Show.”
Santana decides to confront Rory about his crush on Brittany and acting like a leprechaun. She says she won’t expose him because having a “pet Irish” is good for Brittany, but he has to grant Santana one wish, which is to get Brittany to quit New Directions.
Rory blabs to Finn that Brittany is leaving New Directions, so Finn confronts the girls. Santana stands up to him, saying that he’s just as jealous about Blaine so he’s being a hypocrite. Finn decides to play it straight with Brittany, calling her an idiot for thinking that Rory is a leprechaun and telling her that she needs to grow up. Brittany is not one to be bullied, so she officially jumps ship to Shelby’s group. Sugar Motta is excited for new backup dancers, but Santana quickly puts her in her place — though Sugar is just excited to be on a winning team. “The Trouble Tones” make their debut with Christina Aguilera’s “Candyman.”
Finn later admits that the girls’ performance really was incredible. He didn’t want everything to play out this way, but he understands why they all left and he just wants the best for all of them. He then apologizes to Brittany, explaining that he doesn’t want to ruin any of their friendships. Realizing that her third wish — not to hurt anyone by leaving New Directions — didn’t come true, Brittany figures out that leprechauns aren’t real. Still, Santana asks for one more wish: For Rory to leave McKinley.
After Shelby hooks Puck up with a possible year-round pool cleaning gig, he decides to go to her apartment and clean out all the evidence that Quinn had planted. Shelby is distracted by Beth’s crying, so Puck picks up a guitar and sings Foreigner’s “Waiting for a Girl Like You,” to calm her down. Shelby expresses that she’s been overwhelmed being a single parent, but Puck says he’ll always be there to help her.
Will tells Burt he should run against Sue, but he’s already one step ahead of him. While it’s too late to get on the ballot, Burt can still be a write-in candidate. Both Will and Kurt will be his campaign managers. Burt goes on the offensive, revealing on the news that it’s Sue who has been overspending and that the arts are important. Sue later tracks down Burt and his family at dinner, explaining that she’s changing her strategy: The money spent on the arts should go to special education classes.
Pinned down by bullies, it seems all hope is lost for Rory, but Finn comes to his rescue. Finn invites him to try out for New Directions. While Rory sings Teddy Thompson’s “Take Care of Yourself,” a montage reveals that Shelby and Puck are spending even more time together… and they share a kiss. Whoa!

So I’ve been trying and hoping and wishing for Glee to change my mind about its third season, which is a year that hasn’t given me much hope in its first two episodes. Earlier this weekend, we got a look at Heather Morris as Brittany absolutely slaying some hot dance moves in a cover of “Run The World”, and today sees another performance hit the internet. Mercedes is mad as hell, and in order to prove that she’s not going to take it anymore!
Let’s Watch Heather Morris Destroy “Run The World” On Glee
Hear Six Songs From This Week’s Episode Of Glee: “Asian F”
It’s not that it’s not a good performance; Amber Riley’s vocals are as good as they’ve ever been. What I don’t like about the number is the fact that “Spotlight” is clearly a relationship song, not a song you sing to your teacher and club partner, as Mercedes is clearly directing the song towards Mr. Schuester and Rachel Berry. I don’t know though- watch for yourself and decide how it makes you feel:

It’s Jacob Ben Israel (Josh Sussman) and his microphone, so this must be the start of a new school year at McKinley High. We get equal parts heavy-handed exposition and salacious gossip-mongering, just what we need to know that yes, my darlings: Glee is back!
Allow me to recap the recap: Mercedes and Sam are “so last June” and Sam moved out of state when his father got a job. Mercedes has a new football-playing boyfriend, Marcus (Lamarcus Tinker), and he knows she’s going to be a big star. Artie and Tina are juniors, but Mike Chang is a senior, as are Finn, Rachel, and Kurt. Finn has absolutely no idea what he wants to be when he grows up, but Kurt and Rachel are heading for New York City as fast as they can click their shiny red heels together and say, “There’s no place like Broadway.”
According to Santana, senior year “is all about being the Cheerios top “O” (or possibly “ho.” It’s hard to tell) ‘… and modelling my fierceness after my numero uno Latina, Paula Abdul!”

Jacob reminds her “that Paula Abdul is an Arab.”
Finn thinks to himself that he doesn’t know who he is, and is quickly reminded with a slushy in the face. “Taste the rainbow, beyotch!”
Lauren Zizes (Ashley Fink) has dumped both Puck and the Glee Club, to keep her coolness quotient up. I’d be sobbing over that but rumor has it she’ll still have a strong storyline later in the season. I love me some Zizes.
Now that we’re all caught up, we get a scene with Will and Emma in bed together. I feel like I just walked in on my parents. Please make it go away.

At McKinley, Will sets out the 12th place trophy from Nationals and tells the kids he’s not going to let them down this year. Especially, it seems, since the guy who replaced him in April Rhodes‘ show won a Tony. Ouch.
He brings in a bunch of purple pianos, reclaimed from foreclosed homes, and says he’s having them set randomly around the school. He wants the New Directions kids to break out in song whenever they see one, as a way of recruiting new members. This will not end well.
Rachel and Kurt tell Emma they intend to go to Julliard in New York City, only to have their dreams crushed when she tells them there’s no musical theater department at Julliard. She arranges for them to attend a mixer of local students who want to go to The New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts in New York.
“You can check out the competish,” she says. Oh, Emma. You’ve changed. It worries me.

Meanwhile in Sue‘s office, Becky is giving her advice on her run for Congress. She’s currently behind a rapist running from his prison cell and “don’t call me at dinner time,” so she’s pretty desperate. She thought, she tells Becky, that people wanted to vote for someone who was for something, but her pro-deportation platform didn’t catch fire.
“People are angry,” she tells Becky. “They want a candidate who’s against something.”
“Be against toast,” Becky suggests. “Bread’s already baked. I don’t get toast.”

“Oh Becky, your twisted genius excites me,” Sue says. But she has a different idea: she’s going to run on an anti-arts platform. She launches it by smashing one of the purple pianos and making racist comments to Mike and Tina. Hi, Sue! I’ve missed you!
Watch “Glee” Episode 301 Recap: Glee’s Got the Beat! Yeah! They Got It!
The 36-second clip reveals that Tina and Artie are juniors, while another newly released sneak peek features the girls’ performance of ‘We Got the Beat’.
Just a day after the screening of “Glee” season 3 premiere, the first 36 minutes of the episode have been made available online . It opens with McKinley High’s resident gossip blogger Jacob Ben Israel questioning the glee club kids about what they will do next after high school.
Finn claims he has plans though his expression hints that he is actually confused. Mike lets his mom decide which university he will enroll to, but when Tina is asked the same question, she makes it clear that she is still junior and so is Artie, who is there with them.
The “Glee” cast’s performance of The Go Go’s’ “We Got the Beat” has additionally been made available for viewing pleasure via Entertainment Weekly. It sees the girls singing the cover version at their school’s cafetaria, with the boys dancing to the same tune.
The third season of “Glee” will kick off Tuesday, September 20 at 8/7c on FOX. The first episode titled “The Purple Piano Project” will see Mr. Schuester assigning a project to get the New Directions kids back on track after a devastating loss at Nationals.

Glee has made some additions to its ever-increasing list of series regulars. The cast members getting bumped up to full-time regulars for the third season are Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) and Darren Chris (Blaine) according to Spiky TV. This is bigger news for Shum who has been on the show since the first season, while Blaine just joined the cast during Season 2.
But with this positive comes a negative. Chord Overstreet, who joined Glee in Season 2 as well playing transfer student Sam Evans, did not have his option to be promoted to regular exercised. Overstreet made a tweet that seems to refer to this news. “It’s been a good year. Too bad it’s over. Time for summer and starting fresh,” says the tweet. This doesn’t mean his character won’t return as an occasional guest star.
Two weeks ago creator Ryan Murphy dropped the bombshell that the older cast would all graduate at the end of Season 3. Murphy clarified to Spiky TV why this decision was made. “Do we really want to have an eight-year [high school] senior? The only way somebody could stay on the show is if they flunk, and that is always a possibility. I think Brittany is pulling straight Fs.” So there are ways to keep some of the cast around longer than others. It’s just a question of if it works with story. Brittany most likely would fail, and I could see a couple of students sticking around to help coach the glee club.
Since “The Glee Project” will produce a new “Glee” star, fans may have been questioning who will win the competition. In a recent interview, the musical drama series’ creator Ryan Murphy has warned that the result may not meet people’s expectations.

“The person that we ended up picking is not who you would expect, but is so talented that it’s really inspired us as writers,” the 45-year-old, who also serves as a judge on the reality show, revealed. He explained that “the person who wins is not necessarily the best singer or the best dancer,” but “it’s the person who can serve ‘Glee’ best.”
Whoever comes out as the champion, he/she will show up early in the third season of the FOX hit series. “Our first episode back [on Glee] is always auditions,” Murphy hinted at the moment which would mark a debut for the new character.
“The Glee Project” features 12 aspiring singers competing for a guest-starring role on “Glee”. In each episode, their skills in front of the camera as well as in the recording studio are tested. Aired every Sunday at 9 P.M. (EST) on Oxygen, the show has eliminated two contestants, Bryce and Ellis.
“Glee”, meanwhile, will return on FOX on Tuesday, September 20.
