“Law & Order” Season 20 Episode 16 “Innocence“
03/15/2010 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : WHEN A MAN IS FOUND GUILTY OF A HATE CRIME, THE TRIAL BECOMES EVEN MORE CONTROVERSIAL THAN THE CASE ITSELF. Detectives Cyrus Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Kevin Bernard (Anthony Anderson) detain a man who is tried and found guilty of killing a gay man as a hate crime. Shortly after, Emily Ryan (guest star Amy Madigan) steps in with The Innocence Collective, determined to prove his innocence and reverse the verdict. Assistant District Attorney Michael Cutter (Linus Roache) soon discovers that Emily’s overeager student assistant, Lisa Klein (guest star Anna Chlumsky), may have crossed the line to get a testimony in her client’s favor. Before long, personal relationships are threatened as the integrity of the entire trial is called into question. Also starring: S. Epatha Merkerson (Lieutenant Anita Van Buren), Sam Waterston (District Attorney Jack McCoy), Alana De La Garza (Connie Rubirosa) and Linus Roache (Michael Cutter).

Synopsis: Law & Order Season 20 Episode 13 “Boy On Fire” - When detectives Cyrus Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Kevin Bernard (Anthony Anderson) come upon the burning body of Cesar (guest star Noel Rodriguez), a sixteen-year-old charter school student from a bad neighborhood, they begin to question his young mentee Moses (guest star Aaron Shaw), who was the last person to see him alive. After evidence leads the detectives to a shocking cell phone video of the crime being committed, they soon realize that the four people in the video may be in cahoots with an unexpected ally. The investigation leads the detectives to the high school principal, Mrs. Woodside (guest star Debra Winger), who has all of the right answers. With a shady educator, tampered alibis and jealous schoolboys all coming into play, the detectives discover that their case may be more than elementary. Also starring: S. Epatha Merkerson (Lieutenant Anita Van Buren), Sam Waterston (District Attorney Jack McCoy), Alana De La Garza (Connie Rubirosa), and Linus Roache (Michael Cutter).

As election day rapidly approaches, Detectives Cyrus Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Kevin Bernard (Anthony Anderson) discover the disfigured remains of a man with the word “FED” written across his bare chest. Missing a crucial piece of evidence, the detectives decide to retrace the steps of the victim, a campaign volunteer, to hone in on the challenging investigation. After the victim’s perplexing past emerges and the list of suspects multiplies, the detectives find themselves dealing with more than just dirty politics. S. Epatha Mekerson, Sam Waterston, Alana De La Garza and Linus Roache also star.

While investigating the murder of television reporter Dawn Prescott (Guest Star Audra Blaser), detectives Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Bernard (Anthony Anderson) discover that she was involved in a love triangle involving another reporter at the station Joe Lee. This leads them to another suspect, veteran anchor Joe Delaney (Guest Star David Rasche), who was threatened by the success of his younger co-workers and may have hacked into their email to gain an advantage. As they search for the killer, the detectives uncover that Dawn was working on a major story surrounding a huge hedge fund fraud and there may be a connection with the recent murder of Fred Decker, a whistle-blower who filed an SEC suit against a hedge fund owner. Season: 19 Episode: 13 First Aired: 2/11/2009
A war widow with a possible grudge against the Army, Carly Di Gravia (guest star MacKenzie Mauzy), is found unconscious in the rubble of an Army Recruitment Center along with her lifeless infant. As detectives Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Bernard (Anthony Anderson) search for the bomber, they encounter Megaphone Bob, the leader of a group of war protesters, including Charles Cavell, whose sister was killed in Iraq. The detectives must also deal with the confusion that arises when “Operation Molly,” a couple of fanatic citizens who like to work with the police to solve cases, gets involved. ADA’s Michael Cutter (Linus Roache) and Connie Rubirosa (Alana de la Garza) efforts to bring the bomber to justice are complicated by potentially compromised evidence, reasonable doubt and public sentiment. DA Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) must make one of the most unpopular decisions of his career.
