The top-rated TLC reality program “90 Day Fiancé” first featured Andrei Castravet and Elizabeth “Libby” Potthast in Season 5. The two first met in person in 2016 while on a trip to Dublin after connecting through a dating website. Elizabeth’s family members weren’t instantly trusting of Andrei because they were so fiercely protective of her. They were worried that the new fiancé of one of their family members was merely using her as a visa ruse. After Elizabeth’s bachelorette party, things were tense because Andrei was upset that her sisters had hired strippers. Despite the conflict, Andrei and Elizabeth got married within the 90-day window.
Are Andrei Castravet and Elizabeth Potthast Still Together?
We are happy to inform you that Elizabeth and Andrei are still together and living happily married lives. In December 2017, the couple was hitched. Elizabeth learned they were expecting their first child together in May 2018. The TLC singer discovered she was nauseated and had no appetite while on a road trip with Andrei. When they got home, Elizabeth took a pregnancy test, and it was positive.
Afterward, Andrei claimed that it was entirely unexpected since they had not planned it. Elizabeth’s father, Chuck Potthast, even agreed to attend the gender reveal when Elizabeth was far enough along, despite his reservations about Andrei. According to Elizabeth, “Everyone was screaming. Most of my family counted on it being a girl, and everybody was right. We just kind of had this gut feeling.”
After the birth of their daughter Eleanor, the couple remarried in Moldova for a second time so that his family could be present. As shown in Season 5 of “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After,” their domestic strife peaked during the reception when Libby’s brother, Charlie, insulted Andrei in his speech. The conflict between the two and Libby’s family was still raging when they made a comeback in Season 6.
But not all of their time together has been troubled; since their disastrous Moldovan wedding, the couple has also experienced several important milestones. The couple moved into a stunning new home in November 2021, and in March 2022, they announced they were expecting their second child together.
With a new home and plans for a new career path, things are looking up for Andrei and Elizabeth in Season 7 of “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After.” Elizabeth is considering changing careers to pursue her passion for music while Andrei settles into his new job. However, tensions increase as concerns grow that Andrei, whose relationship with his family has soured, is severing Elizabeth from her family. The couple believes that someone is trying to ruin their marriage when Andrei is called in for an urgent green card interview, placing him at risk of deportation.
