Boruto Naruto Next Generations Episode 264 Recap

One of the Seven Mysteries of the Academy is a haunting mirror covered in class. Himawari suggests that they spend the evening touring the campus and seeing the locations of the Seven Mysteries. Kawaki wonders about Kae’s evident excitement for the occasion as they decide their action plan.

When Shino enters, she tells the students they are welcome to stay as long as they are done cleaning. While Himawari and the others go on, Kae tells Kawaki that she does not participate in the Seven Mysteries. But she does want to protect the kids’ values. With the help of her butler, Batora, she invented fictional versions of the Seven Mysteries. Kawaki is also invited to lend a hand.

For the duration of the Third Hokage mystery, Himawari is after the statue. She uses her byakugan to watch the statue being carried while remaining silent around the other people. Kawaki asks Batora why Kae takes the making of the riddles so seriously. Batora speculates that Kae might be regaining her lost youth. After each mystery, the number of students decreases.

Only three people remain in the sixth mystery, the mirror: Himawari, Ehou, and Yuina. When Kawaki and Kae notice a floating sheet, they assume it is Batora. But they are startled to see Batora coming toward them. Kae, Batora, and Kawaki go after the ghost. The three see Shino cleaning up in the faculty room after hours. He ends up being the seventh mystery after being covered in glow-in-the-dark paint and being watched by the students. Kawaki is grateful to Himawari for concealing their tricks from the other students while they were being used.
