Classroom of the Elite Season 2 Episode 13 Recap

Ryuuen seemed to have given up all chance of ever regaining the respect he previously enjoyed in the school, defeated and sad. Ibuki attempts to persuade him not to give up and even reminds him of his own statements as he starts to walk away from everything. But he now appears uninterested in any struggle for dominance. At one point, Ibuki becomes so enraged with him that she simply kicks him to the ground and leaves.

On December 25, Satou goes out with Ayanokouji and meets Karuizawa somewhere else to get dating to advice. Later that evening, she ponders if Ayanokouji is dating Satou for ideological or tactical reasons. She is shocked to receive a call from Ayanokouji himself, who requests that she gather as much information as she can about Satou without providing any further explanation.

Additionally, Ryuuen is introduced to Ayanokouji, who has cleverly shielded him from being expelled from school. To solve Class D and ensure he no longer needs to turn his back constantly, he intends to get Kushida dismissed from the institution. Ryuuen doesn’t seem to have any plans to overheat Ayanokouji at this time, although he is now only a pawn in her game. Later on, Ayanokouji approaches Horikita to persuade her to join the student council.

As scheduled, Ayanokouji goes on a date with Satou on December 25, and Karuizawa and Hirata accompany them. Even Hirata feels that he must let the other pair go on their own because they likely have plans. After all, Ayanokouji was not anticipating the double date. Satou concurs with Karuizawa’s claim that a double date would be more enjoyable.

Ayanokouji informs his buddies that he is okay with the double date as long as everyone is on the same page because he doesn’t mind Hirata and Karuizawa joining them. The two couples ultimately decide to spend the remainder of the day together, eating lunch and watching movies. It’s interesting to note that Hirata and Karuizawa aren’t even officially dating because the latter simply decided to go because he had no other options. The four of them are having lunch at the restaurant when they start talking about their future plans. Ayanokouji seems confused and only says that he might attend college after high school.

As the two couples part ways, Satou can talk about her feelings with Ayanokouji in private for the first time. She doesn’t waste any time and asks him to be her boyfriend. Unfortunately, Ayanokouji doesn’t appear to be at all interested. But to protect Satou from harm, he presents a very compelling argument to her. Ayanokouji asserts that he has never been emotionally mature enough to fall in love, so subtly ruling out the option of dating.

He also admits that he has never felt romantically inclined toward anyone. Since Ayanokouji didn’t smile once throughout the entire date, Satou had predicted this. His sincere confessions didn’t appear to convince his date, even if he insisted that it was something he was not good at. Satou eventually lost the ability to control her emotions and started crying. She ran to her room while covering her face with her hand.

Why Does Ayanokouji Consider Karuizawa the Ideal Pawn

Why does Ayanokouji think Karuizawa would make the best pawn? Does He Have Any Emotions for Him?

Ayanokouji orders Karuizawa to emerge just as Satou turns around and heads out. She has been sneakily watching the couple while lurking in the bushes up until now, but Ayanokouji caught sight of her once while speaking to Satou. Finally deciding to talk about recent events, the two sit on a nearby bench. Ayanokouji argues that she will never be able to succeed Satou when Karuizawa eventually inquires as to why he rejected her proposition.

Ayanokouji does not think anything is wrong because she knows that he constantly views people as nothing more than pawns. Interestingly, although no one has given Ayanokouji a gift this Christmas, Karuizawa has brought him a gift anyway. She did, however, anticipate that dad would have brought her some cold medicine after observing that she had been wet earlier in the day.

It is intriguing given how infrequently Ayanokouji demonstrates concern for others. He remembers how he purposefully delayed rescuing Karuizawa from Ryuuen and did everything he could to make her psychologically reliant on him as they made their way back. She is the perfect pawn for him since, in his opinion, there is nearly no chance that she will ever betray him.

Ayanokouji does appear to be unsure whether they will develop love feelings for one another, though. These subtle but significant cues, coupled with his previous display of concern for her wellbeing, raise the chance that he would develop feelings for her. However, given Ayanokouji’s past, that seems incredibly implausible. Although he might not feel anything for her right now, there is a remote but real possibility that they will get together in the upcoming season. Fans will, regrettably, have to wait to find out.
