After just one week of dating, Bilal traveled to a foreign country and realized Shaeeda was the one for him. The international partner was delighted to accept his proposal once he got down on one knee and did so.
Shaeeda quickly submitted her K-1 visa application and arrived in the United States because she didn’t want to waste much time. Bilal took her to his less remarkable boyhood home to test her morals since he was concerned that she was only chasing his money. Shaeeda expressed her reservations after viewing the state of the house, which disappointed Bilal. Despite this slight setback, the couple quickly moved in together in Kansas City’s Bilal’s Mansion.
Curiously, Shaeeda eventually met Bilal’s family, including his children and ex-wife, and appeared to get along well with everyone. Furthermore, Bilal was adamantly opposed to Shaeeda’s wish to have children in the future. She truly wanted Bilal’s kids to call her Umi or mom, but they didn’t want to since it was awkward, so the Trinidad and Tobago native felt it was a subject for another time.
However, Bilal and Shaeeda did their best to ignore these problems and remained optimistic about their future together. However, the native of Kansas City quickly gave Shaeeda a prenup because he was afraid of losing everything if they got a divorce. Shaeeda, on the other hand, was adamantly opposed to one, insisting that she wanted their love to be unadulterated. She was also rather let down by Bilal’s constant insistence on the prenup, which she finally had verified by her own attorney.
Unexpectedly, the attorney revealed that the prenuptial agreement was biased and counseled the foreign national against signing it. Shahidah said: “I’m very stern when it comes to my kids. And so what I want is the best for them. And what I want them to be around is someone who is best for them. And it may not be my place to speak on it, but I’m coming from a place of protecting my kids, assets, and that generational wealth you know that he has. I have to know that you’re not here for just what he has.”
Shaeeda replied: “Well, I have a life in Trinidad. I’m very known in my community. I had my own yoga studio. Just Google me. You’ll see a lot of things that come up. You know, I was in newspapers. So me trying to get what he has nothing to do with that.”
