How Did Doris Adriana Niño Die

What Caused Doris Adriana Nio’s Death?

According to the Netflix original, Doris Adriana Nio caught Diomedes Daz’s eye at one of his concerts when she was 24 years old, and he acquired her phone number so they could remain in touch.

That’s how she progressed from admirer to “friend,” someone with whom the womaniser admitted to have sexual intercourse, although according to her brother, he frequently went too far.

In fact, he claimed that Doris had once requested that their phone number be changed, but that it didn’t work since the unfazed singer still managed to bring her to his flat on May 14, 1997, when things went horribly wrong.

Doris never returned home from Diomedes’ Bogotá apartment that night, and what’s even worse is that she’d left her ID cards and other personal stuff at home, which is unusual for her. As a result, even though her body was discovered the next morning in a cow pasture in Tunja province, her family didn’t learn about it until weeks later.

Doris had cocaine in her system; therefore, her death was initially considered a heart attack caused by an overdose, but subsequent forensic records changed the cause of death to asphyxiation by strangulation. She was also raped.

Did Diomedes Díaz Really Kill Doris Adriana Niño

Is it true that Diomedes Daz Murdered Doris Adriana Nio?

Doris Adriana Nio was initially suspected of being a sex worker, according to the documentary, not only because she was discovered half-naked, but also because putative witnesses claimed the same. Her brother, on the other hand, rejected these claims, even going so far as to say that she did not consume alcohol, let alone do drugs, implying that foul play was involved.

It is, therefore, necessary to point out that even official investigations were unable to determine whether the drugs in her system were consumed voluntarily or involuntarily, i.e., by force, prior to, during, or after the sexual assault.

Doris had a dispute with Luz Consuelo Martnez on that fatal evening, according to every story, because the latter was pregnant with Diomedes’ kid. Despite what the records imply, there was no party, it was just the musician, his boyfriend, his aides, a handful of bodyguards, and Doris inside his home, according to the documentary.

As a result, they were eventually indicted, with prosecutors thinking that the victim was likely invited over for an orgy, only to be killed by Diomedes Díaz when she attempted to scream after changing her mind.

The Netflix original also reveals that one of Diomedes’ bodyguards, Oswaldo Alvarez, was the one who disposed of the young woman’s remains in Tunja. As if that wasn’t enough, the case was further complicated when his statements clashed with those of his coworker, prompting the attorney general’s office to file indictments against them all.

In the end, Oswaldo Alvarez and fellow personal safety officer Mauricio Botia were each sentenced to seven years in prison for concealing and false testimony, while Luz Consuelo Martnez received a one-year sentence.

When it came to Diomedes, the man suspected of killing Doris while under the influence, he went on the run just as he was about to be transferred from home arrest to jail. As a result, he was tried as an “absent inmate” for unintended homicide, and it was eventually found that he had committed involuntary manslaughter rather than murder.

The musician was sentenced to a 12-year prison sentence, which was later reduced to 612 years by a higher court, but he only served 36 months in prison after turning himself in on August 20, 2002. In summary, Diomedes Daz did kill Doris, according to the legal system.

Diomedes Diaz, has died of a heart attack at the age of 56 on 22 Dec, 2013 at Valledupar, Colombia.
