Who is Gene Michael Hart?
Gene Michael Hart met Diane in 1994 at a bar in Ravenna, Michigan. Diane was divorced and the mother of two daughters at the time.
She was in town to visit her sister, Vickie Brill, and the two spent one evening at a local bar. Diane and Gene hit it off and began dating, marrying in May 1996. He began his career at a turkey processing plant and was later promoted, which required him to work long hours.
Gene raised Diane’s daughters as his own and adopted them shortly after the wedding, according to the show. Later in life, one of Diane’s daughters became pregnant, and Diane was granted custody of the child.
