Who Are the Ithorians in The Book of Boba Fett

After an assassin from the Order of the Night Wind claims that Mayor Mok Shaiz of the spaceport Mos Espa hired him and his late companions to kill Boba, the latter thinks it’s time to confront this intriguing Mayor.

The Mayor’s majordomo appears before Boba in the pilot episode and informs him that the Mayor will not give him any tribute.

Boba, on the other hand, is the one who must pay homage to the Mayor. Boba refuses, telling the majordomo that allowing him to return to his employer alive is a gift in and of itself.

At first, Boba and Fennec believe the attack is in retaliation for his deeds. However, when they go to see the Mayor, they find that he is an Ithorian.

Everything you need to know about them is right here.

Who Are the Ithorians and What Do They Do?

The Ithorians are an intelligent alien race that lives on the planet Ithor. They resemble hammerhead sharks in appearance.

As a result, they’re called Hammerheads or Leathernecks, both of which are disparaging terms. The Ithorians have a trait that sets them apart from the majority of sentient species in the cosmos. On each side of their neck, they have two mouths.

Ithorians in The Book of Boba Fett

The bulk of Ithorians cannot speak Galactic Basic Standard, the galaxy’s most prevalent language, due to their unique physiology, which has four throats.

There are, however, exceptions. Galactic Basic Standard is spoken by an anonymous Ithorian technician who appears in the 4th season of ‘Star Wars Rebels.’

Others, like as Shaiz, converse with other species via translator-type equipment.

The Ithorese language is the Ithorians’ native tongue. The Ithorians are mostly found in the forests of their homeworld.

They are recognised for their unwavering commitment to pacifism. Their faith is based on the natural world. Mother Jungle is a vast rainforest covering much of the planet’s surface. The Ithorians regard the forest as sacred, and no one is allowed to enter it.

On Coruscant, there are a few of them. After grudgingly revealing the secrets of their agricultural expertise to the empire, a male Ithorian named Momaw Nadon was forced to leave his homeworld.

He ultimately arrived at Tatooine’s spaceport, Mos Eisley.
