Matrix 4 Movie Release Date, Trailer & Spoiler

Matrix 4 Movie 2021

The Matrix franchise’s long-awaited fourth instalment is in the works. The sequel, dubbed The Matrix: Resurrections, will be the first in the franchise since 2003’s The Matrix Revolutions.

While details on the project have been limited, here is what we do know so far.

What Is The Matrix 4 Plot About?

Despite the characters’ apparent deaths in Revolutions, Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity, respectively.

The film is titled Matrix 4: Resurrections, and it is directed by Lana Wachowski, one of the Wachowski siblings who wrote and directed all 3 Matrix movies.

“I had dreams that weren’t just dreams,” Reeves’ Thomas Anderson confides to his therapist (Neil Patrick Harris) in a trailer screened to theatre owners at CinemaCon on August 24, 2021, despite having no memories of the Matrix movie.

He later encounters Moss’ character, although they are unfamiliar with each other. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Neo appears to have new abilities.

When Will The Matrix 4 Be Released?

While the picture has yet to be given an official title, Warner Bros. set a release date for The Matrix 4 for May 21, 2021, shortly after its announcement.

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film’s development was halted, and The Matrix 4 was rescheduled for December 22, 2021, where it appears to be staying.

As part of Warner Bros.’ intention to shift its 2021 release slate to HBO Max, The Matrix: Resurrections will be released simultaneously in theatres and on the streaming service.
