When Will Netflix Release The Lincoln Lawyer?
The Lincoln Lawyer will be available on Netflix on May 13th, 2022, with all 10 episodes available in only a few days. The show is produced by David E. Kelley, who has worked on shows like The Practice and Boston Legal. It’s based on a series of Michael Connelly novels about a Los Angeles lawyer named Mickey Haller who works out of his Lincoln Town Car.
If that premise seems familiar, it’s because Matthew McConaughey’s portrayal of Haller in Connelly’s first book was adapted into the 2011 film The Lincoln Lawyer.
Is the Series Based on Michael Connelly’s novel “The Brass Verdict”?
Yes, The first season of The Lincoln Lawyer will be based on Michael Connelly’s second novel featuring Haller, The Brass Verdict. After taking a hiatus from practising law, Haller returns to work in the show.
He then becomes entangled in a mystery. (In the book, a fellow defence attorney named Vincent is assassinated while working on a high-profile murder case.) Simultaneously, Haller, who has two ex-wives and a kid, is dealing with some personal challenges while attempting to repair old relationships.
The Lincoln Lawyer will premiere in May 2022, making it a busy month for Connelly fans. Bosch: Legacy, a spinoff of Prime Video’s Bosch, is planned to air on May 6. Both Bosch and Bosch: Legacy is based on Connelly’s detective Harry Bosch series of novels. In the books, Bosch and Haller are half-brothers who meet paths on occasion while working on separate cases. There is currently no evidence that The Lincoln Lawyer and Bosch: Legacy will have any overlap. ​ ​​
