Hamza, a 28-year-old Tunisian native, felt an instant attraction to Memphis, who is six years older than him.

Because he is unable to communicate in English, the pair utilised a language translator for communicating digitally.

Hamza proposed to Memphis, and they got engaged after just a few months of texting and delightful video conversations to cement their friendship.

Memphis eventually decided to fly to Tunisia, over the objections of her friends and family, to see if the man of her fantasies is just as good in real life.

Is It possible that Memphis and Hamza will End Up Together?

Memphis had to wait a few months due to Covid-19 travel limitations before she could finally visit Tunisia.

This, combined with the fact that they didn’t speak the same language, generated a lot of friction between her and Hamza.

The fact that her mother was doubtful about Hamza’s religion, as well as concerns about introducing a new person to her children, added to her concerns about their connection.

Memphis intended to get married immediately away on her trip to Tunisia, but Hamza was a little more complicated.

Their linguistic disparities frequently hampered communication because the essence of words is frequently lost in translation.

The six-hour time difference didn’t help matters, and keeping track of each other’s time grew more difficult.

However, their romance was able to survive the lockout because of steamy FaceTime discussions and Hamza’s linguistic prowess.

Memphis began preparing for her trip once travel was permitted, and she was very worried about meeting Hamza for the first time at the Tunisian airport.

“When you’re going somewhere new, it’s always nerve-wracking at times,” she said in an interview with Hollywood Life, “especially with COVID going on and all of the restrictions, the language, and all of those things, playing a part”…,

“Anticipation is always the biggest thing as far as like, ‘Are we going to connect, are we going to like each other?’

Because you never know if you’re going to have that connection while you’re watching a video.”

The main issue, though, was the cultural contrasts that they discovered during their time in Tunisia.

When Memphis said she wanted to talk about a prenuptial agreement on the translator app, Hamza said, “We don’t have prenuptial agreements in Tunisia.”

He continued to express his displeasure with it in front of the public, to which Memphis said, “If you do not sign, I do not want to marry you.”

This was a huge stumbling block in the couple’s walk down the aisle, and Hamza decided to wait before marrying Memphis.

This made her feel as if her trust had been betrayed once more. It’s understandable that past romantic failures, as well as the introduction to a whole new cultural framework, could lead to trust concerns between long-distance partners.

However, Memphis believed that the trip was successful in a positive sense since she learnt to be more patient and understanding after getting to know Hamza better.

She began to notice his genuine concern for her well-being, as well as his efforts to gain her trust.

Memphis may have been reassured by Hamza’s seriousness for her by small gestures like jumping in front of her to push her away from a rushing car.

As a result, we might believe that the couple’s mutual admiration for each other, as well as their enthusiasm to marry each other, helped them embrace each other despite cultural differences and language hurdles.
