Recap of ‘Raised By Wolves’ Season 2 Episode 7

As he watches the residents of the village devour the fruits, Paul becomes nauseous. When he sees Campion approaching the crates, he hopes against hope, but is relieved when the other boy doesn’t eat one.

He goes back to Marcus (Travis Fimmel). Marcus begins to question the Voice / Signal’s motives for the first time since he first heard it. When Lamia / Mother discovers the tree, she realises what has transpired. Sue, the only other person in the community, has been her friend.

She bemoans the fact that Sue was forced to listen to the Voice. When she returns to the colony, she is shocked to learn that the fruits have been eaten.

Meanwhile, the search for Tempest’s baby is fruitless at first. Hunter sends a contraption to search for the marine creature, but the acid causes it to malfunction.

After the item has washed ashore, Father sends Campion to seek for it, and the latter runs into Vrille. She massacred the Mithraics when Decima carved her face off the last time we saw her.

She’s wearing a plastic mask over her face this time. Others soon catch up to Campion. Holly, who witnessed the murders, is also present.

She tells the others about Vrille, but they decide to keep her around for the time being because she claims to know something about the kid.

The gang pursues her to a cave, where they discover the body of a sea monster youngling. Back at the camp, the Serpent begins to misbehave. It flies away after breaking the cage’s bars. Mother is hot on its tail.

Why Did the Sea Creature Take Tempest’s Baby

The Serpent rushes to Sue’s tree after gaining his freedom. The latter seems to sense it and uses a damaged transmitter to send an urgent message to Marcus and Paul, encouraging them to burn the tree down.

Marcus makes an effort to do so. However, by the time the Serpent comes, the fire he starts is too little, and the tree is devoured. It appears to be a natural progression, as consuming the tree provides it with the same weapon of mass destruction as Mother.

Her caregiving programmes prove to be detrimental to her quest to disarm the Serpent when she goes to confront it. The Serpent is, after all, her kid. The Serpent then attacks, briefly deactivating her.

Marcus and Paul come across her and decide to help her. They return her to the village, where Grandmother reveals the truth about the Signal.

The entity that is the source of the Voice or the Signal looks to be a hostile entity. Mother’s memories of Campion Sturges were used to have her give birth to the 7th. Sue was subsequently duped into becoming a believer when the cure for Paul was suggested.

What it didn’t account for was the Serpent’s attachment to Campion. The Serpent’s purpose is to destroy humanity, just as its ancestors did thousands of years ago.

This Serpent, on the other hand, appears to be more concerned with Mother and Campion. Because of his link with Lamia, it is envious of the latter and appears to be on the lookout for him after its metamorphosis.

This link could be the key to humanity’s redemption in the end. Campion avoids the confrontation by hiding with Vrille.

What Was the Purpose of the Sea Creature Taking Tempest’s Child?

The water animals, like their land-based counterparts on the other side of the equator, are degenerated humans. It appears that a part of their psyche has retained some of their genetic forebears’ innate impulses.

The sea creature who kidnapped Tempest’s baby is most likely responsible for the dead youngling discovered in the cave. Its sadness over the loss of its own child pushed her to kidnap Tempest’s child.

She is breastfeeding the infant when Father, Tempest, and the others discover the creature. Tempest, plagued by the child’s conception, wants to abandon her.

Hunter, on the other hand, will not leave the youngster alone and shoots the beast. When he tries to deliver the kid to Tempest, however, the latter rejects him.
