Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 5 Recap

Recap of Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 5

‘A New Life,’ the 5th episode of Season 3 of ‘Snowpiercer,’ follows Zarah as she writes a letter to her unborn daughter about the Snowpiercer. Alex begins to look after Wilford, who is still recovering from his near-fatal bullet wound.

The Snowpiercer’s passengers create a name tree for Layton and Zarah’s kid. Zarah’s water breaks and she goes into labour while she and Layton spend time in the night car near the tree.

Mrs. Headwood informs Josie that she has lost her ability to feel pain as a result of the cold-resistant treatment’s negative effects.

Because he doesn’t trust Mrs. Headwood, Layton invites Dr. Pelton to watch after Zarah. Ruth is approached by Pike, who inquires about taking a stand against Layton. After assuring her trust in the existing leader, the chief of hospitality removes him.

The name tree catches fire as Ruth and the other passengers celebrate the arrival of a new baby. Bess begins the investigation and is soon joined by Layton. Lilah Jr. is suspected of being the one who set the fire.

Oz and Lilah Jr. put their suspicions to rest. Bess and Layton discover that a substantial amount of ethanol is missing as their inquiry develops, indicating the possibility of fires.

Ben requests that Sykes assist Javi in dealing with his trauma. She joins forces with Javi to offer assistance. Ben runs into Josie at the engine vehicle and offers to teach her how to drive. Josie reveals that she no longer feels pain as they spend time together.

She also inquires as to whether Ben is aware of Melanie’s absence. They also exchange intimacy on the spur of the moment. In the Snowpiercer, a second fire breaks out, followed by an explosion that nearly kills Layton.

Javi sees that the explosive materials in the storage are missing. After escaping the explosion, Layton rushes to Zarah, who is in the midst of difficult labour.

Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 5 Ending

Does Zarah Give Birth in ‘Snowpiercer’ Season 3 Episode 5?

Zarah does really have a healthy baby girl. Zarah suffers greatly as a result of the cold-resistant treatment provided to the baby when she goes into delivery.

Zarah’s temperature begins to drop steadily as the host. Dr. Pelton and Mrs. Headwood use warming blankets to try to keep Zarah’s temperature from lowering. The explosion on the train exacerbates the issue, as Layton is forced to be separated from his child’s mother.

Regardless of the lowering temperature, Dr. Pelton instructs Zarah to push for the baby’s delivery. Zarah gives birth to Liana after a lot of struggle.

Despite the fact that the infant is healthy, Layton may be concerned about the cold-resistant treatment she is receiving. Given the negative effects Josie has had as a result of the treatment, it wouldn’t be surprising if Liana begins to experience them as well.

As Layton fears, the baby’s genetic modification may alter Liana’s fate for the better or for the worse. As the Snowpiercer approaches New Eden, Liana’s father and mother are likely to be concerned about her safety outside the train.

Why Pike Start The Fire and Explosion

Why Pike Start The Fire and Explosion?

Pike appears to be displeased with Layton’s leadership and decision-making since his re-emergence as the Snowpiercer’s leader.

His advice to Ruth to take control of the Snowpiercer from Layton suggests that the former Tailie does not want his “former friend” to change the train’s and passengers’ fates.

His concerns about New Eden also indicate that he does not believe Layton and Asha’s falsehood. Pike hides in the railway car that explodes when Layton arrives at the end of the episode, implying that he was involved in the explosion and fire.

Pike also destroys a remote control, possibly for the device he set. If not an effort to kill Layton, the fire and explosion could be Pike’s way of scaring him.

Pike’s actions could be motivated by Layton’s ambitions to become the next tyrant of the Snowpiercer, as misinterpreted by Pike.

Pike may be aiming for an authoritarian position by forcing his love interest Ruth to take over as the train’s next captain, which could lead him to kill or hurt Layton.

Since Layton and Bess were able to flee the explosion, they may be able to determine that Pike is the true perpetrator of the two crimes.
