Gregory Cook: Who Is He?

Shannon McKillop knew Gregory (or Greg) Cook, and he spent a lot of time with her, Frank, and Jeremiah.

However, he preferred to stay anonymous, and as a result, when Shannon went missing, his name was not readily apparent. A couple of lads were fishing in a pond in Elgin, Oregon, on July 24, 2009, when they discovered a bag containing a severed human hand.

The cops were called right away, and in order to find the rest of the bodies, they drained the pool. Authorities discovered another bag containing a dismembered human skull and another hand within the water.

The victim was identified as Shannon McKillop by fingerprints while the bag was weighed down by stones.

Shannon’s boyfriend, Frank Scaramuzzi, was first suspected of murder, according to sources. However, during their investigation, they discovered that Frank, as well as another acquaintance, Jeremiah Johnston, had vanished.

Authorities began searching the area near the pond in an attempt to locate the missing people, but to no avail. According to the show, a bartender was the one who pointed the cops in the right direction.

Shannon, Frank, and Jeremiah were frequently observed drinking with someone known only as “Greg,” according to the bartender.

Authorities wasted no time in following up on this tip and discovered that Greg was Gregory Cook, a registered sex offender with a long criminal background that included drug abuse, carjacking, violence, and more.

Gregory quickly became a person of interest, and the cops were on the quest for him.

Officers soon discovered Gregory’s automobile in La Grande and stopped it. Gregory’s girlfriend, on the other hand, was driving the vehicle and claimed that Gregory had confessed to Shannon’s murder.

She went on to say that her lover had confessed to the murders of Frank and Jeremiah before handing investigators an elaborate written confession from the killer himself.

Gregory’s written confession even revealed where the bodies were hidden, allowing the authorities to discover Frank and Jeremiah’s bodies.

Gregory encountered a woman named Linda May while fleeing the cops and requested if he could spend the night in her campervan.

Linda was first frightened, but Gregory contacted his daughter, Stephanie, and attempted to soothe her. Stephanie quickly informed the authorities of Gregory’s whereabouts, and a SWAT squad rescued Linda May the next morning before apprehending Gregory Cook.
