The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6 Ending Explained

Recap of The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6

When Annie and Max return after their daring break-in at the Diazes’ home, they discover Cassie in the aftermath of her breakdown. They do their best to help their buddy, but they know as well as Cassie that unless she confronts the underlying trauma that has caused her to drink, she will be in limbo for the rest of her life. Cassie unwittingly accomplishes this when visiting her mum.

Cassie informs Davey of her relapse as soon as the flight attendant closes the door. They go to Hank/grave Henry’s first. Despite everything Hank’s drinking has done to her and her family, Cassie still has conflicted feelings about him. Cassie now realises that her father’s treatment of her was abusive, but he was also the only person who treated her as though she were unique.

One of the other Cassies in the Mind Palace tells her to murder herself. Davey accompanies Cassie to their mother’s house under the guise of moving Cassie’s belongings. He also informed Cassie that Lisa would be absent. This proves to be untrue. He only wanted his sister and mother to be friends again.

He, on the other hand, brings together two women who are clearly not ready to see each other. Cassie is not welcome in Lisa’s home, and she makes it obvious. She has forgiven her daughter for her actions following her father’s death because she was a grieving adolescent at the time.

Cassie has problems with what she has done as an adult. Cuoco and Stone give their everything in this scene, which is raw and powerful. (If they don’t get at least Emmy nominations for this sequence alone, it will be a shame.)

After a lengthy dramatic interlude, Cassie and Davey successfully avoid the North Koreans and board the aeroplane back to Los Angeles; the show returns to its mystery thriller premise. Davey believes that his reasonably normal life with his spouse and kids is preferable to whatever is going on with his sister.

Megan pays a visit to her family and realises that she is unable to return to her previous life. For Eli’s sake, Bill has made a deal with the FBI. If his wife ever turns up, he has agreed to inform the agency. Cassie’s lookalike enters her house quietly and leaves the knife she used to murder two CIA agents. The plot of this episode is designed to make the audience suspect Ben. Cassie still has faith in her handler, but Shane and Dot have reservations.

The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6 Recap

Ending of The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6: Is Agent Jim Jones Still Alive?

Cassie exits her home early in the episode after learning Ben is on her doorway, accompanied by Jones. Dot later tells Ben to focus on the murder of two of their operatives rather than the Cassie scenario, but he disobeys the latter. Dot later warns Cassie about Ben in a conversation. Shane tells her the same thing, putting everything that happened the previous time they spoke behind him.

Meanwhile, Davey assists Cassie in recognising the mystery number in the shadow master as a boat registration number. Cassie’s doppelganger kills Jones, who was probably protecting the same boat, Cream & Sugar, as the episode ended.

Jones’ death effectively disproves Ben’s suspicions. If Jones was truly loyal to Ben, as Dot said, then Ben had no reason to kill her. So he can’t possibly be the one who frames Cassie. In fact, the episode just serves to confirm Dot’s concerns.

Who Is in the Boat at the End of The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6?

From the exterior, the boat appears to have at least one male and one woman on board. Only their shadows are visible in this episode; their identities are not revealed. Whoever they are, they appear to be the primary targets of Cassie’s doppelganger and the people for whom she works.

This could still be Lionfish, the sinister corporation responsible for Alex’s death. Cassie was already known to them. They may have chosen to utilise it to pursue their most recent targets.

The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6 Review

Review of The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6

For the second episode in a row, The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6 stayed away from the primary plot. But it wasn’t just filler because the episode allowed us plenty of opportunities to learn about Cassie’s emotional state, where she came from, and how she grew up.

Kaley Cuoco puts in some outstanding performances that are well worth watching. Every moment is worth remembering, from confessing to Annie to reading the letter to her father to fighting with her mother.

Cassie was nearly universally despised for her poor decision-making throughout most of the season. However, this is the episode in which you might figure out why she is the way she is. Another noteworthy aspect of this episode is the robust discourse that occurs within the notable exchanges we described.

The primary narrative is making minimal progress here. The CIA over here is extremely shady, despite the fact that the show hasn’t revealed anything about the mystery. While Dot and Shane may urge Cassie to keep away from Benjamin, it’s possible that Dot is also involved. That may be revealed in the following episode.
