TLC’s ‘My 600-lb Life‘ is a reality show that chronicles some of the most inspiring physical transformations by following morbidly obese people on their arduous path to a healthier lifestyle.
They contact Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, or “Dr. Now,” in what can only be described as a last-ditch effort. Dr. Nowzaradan, or “Dr. Now,” takes them through every stage of the process.
Because it’s such a complicated process, some people fail, but others, like Lucas Higdon from season 10, show that the reverse is not only conceivable, but also probable.
So, how about we find out how he’s doing today?

Lucas Higdon’s Journey in ‘My 600-lb Life’ TV Show
Lucas Higdon admitted that he “lives in misery” due to his big body when he first appeared on our screens in season 10 episode 9.
The 33-year-old from Conroe, Texas, who lives on their estate with his family, claimed that he could still go around, but it was difficult, exhausting, and time-consuming.
As a result, he had to rely on his loved ones for even the most basic necessities, and his only source of income was babysitting and homeschooling his niece and nephew.
Lucas, on the other hand, realised that if he wanted to be self-sufficient, he needed to change his habits, which prompted him to enrol in Dr. Now’s programme.
Lucas grew up in a chaotic household where he felt abandoned and unwanted most of the time, just like most people who turn to food for consolation and get hooked.
He comes from a family of six brothers and sisters, but he wasn’t put on the backburner until his twin sisters were born when he was four, and he discovered that eating made him feel better.
Lucas was a hyperactive child, but second helpings and frequent snacking contributed to his weight growth. He had already surpassed the 160-pound threshold by the age of eleven, and his weight continued to rise as the years passed.
Lucas did lose weight after starting football in high school at the urging of his coaches, but he quickly reverted to his old habits after graduation.
His weight gain was attributed to a variety of factors, including being asked to drop out of college and losing his work as a pizza delivery driver, as well as his video game addiction and anxiety and melancholy.
Despite this, Lucas demonstrated his determination to turn a new leaf by shedding an incredible 80 pounds in just three months to qualify for the weight-loss aid operation.
What Happened to Lucas Higdon? And Where Is He Now?
Lucas Higdon had some challenges, but he was able to achieve excellent outcomes because to his entire family’s support and his determination to follow Dr. Now’s diet and exercise plan.
Furthermore, not only did the medical operation go smoothly, but he also recovered swiftly, returning to the gym for some more high-intensity workouts with his personal trainer.
Lucas showed time and time again that he was eager to start a new chapter in his life, so it’s no surprise that he finished the episode at 401 pounds, bringing his total weight loss to 218 pounds.
Lucas had always wanted to work in the IT profession, and it appears that he is on his way there, since he currently has a job maintaining computers at a local business and plans to continue his education.
Not only that, but despite the fact that he still lives with his family, he is more self-sufficient, especially now that he can drive on his own.
We don’t know if Lucas has had the excess skin removed yet, but we do know that he has remained committed to his transformational journey.
“My weight reduction journey has been a crazy trip,” he wrote on Facebook shortly after his episode aired.
“Honestly, I couldn’t have come this far without the help and love of my friends and family.” “We’re still on our path and have a long way to go.”
