Estibaliz “Esti” Carranza: Who Is She?

She’s better known by her nickname of “Esti,” a Mexican-Spanish migrant who sat down and opened an ice cream shop in Vienna, Austria, called Schlekeria café.

She previously lived in Germany, where she met and began dating Holger Holz, according to sources. Holz and Esti married in 2002 before relocating to Vienna in 2005 to operate an ice cream parlour in the Meidling neighbourhood.

Initially, their marriage was blissful, and Esti anticipated a lovely life ahead of her. Holz, on the other hand, is said to have become a slacker and verbally hostile to Esti.

These conflicts were deemed irreparable by Esti, and the pair chose to split. However, Etsi stated that even after their divorce, Holz refused to leave their home, and Esti, who had another girlfriend at the time, did not approve of this behaviour.

So, on April 27, 2008, she shot her ex-husband dead before dismembering his body with a chainsaw and burying the bones in cement in her basement.

Esti was content with her partner, Manfred Hinterberger, for the next two years, while the two planned a future together.

She quickly began to suspect Manfred of being disloyal, which resulted in a series of fights between the two. Furthermore, according to the show, Manfred wanted Esti to change a lot of her habits, which she strongly rejected.

So, fed up with her relationship and still suspecting adultery, Esti picked up a gun and shot Manfred on November 21, 2010. She followed the same procedure after the murder and dissected the body while blending it with cement & buried it under her basement.

Esti would have gotten away with the killings because no one questioned her, while the two men left without a trace.

However, the remains were discovered by coincidence during construction work in June of 2011, prompting a large police inquiry into the crimes. Esti had escaped to Italy by that time, but he was quickly arrested and brought to Austra to face charges.

Esti allegedly turned on the ice cream machine at her business to drown out the sound of the chainsaw while dismembering the bodies, according to court filings.

According to reports, Esti attended shooting training and read up on how to correctly mix concrete to ensure the murders were flawless.

In 2017, Esti, commonly known as the “Ice Cream Killer,” was transferred to an all-male jail. Asten, Austria is the location of this plant. Her lawyers, on the other hand, were attempting to transfer her to a Spanish prison.
