In 1961, Daisy Jones was presented to us as a little girl whose parents had abandoned her. Seven years later, in 1968, Daisy used music as a release. The young woman attends concerts and undergoes life-changing experiences.
Billy Dunne, his brother, and three of his friends create a similar band simultaneously. By 1970, the Dunne Brothers are well-known within their neighborhood. Moreover, in that year, Billy decides to pursue music professionally. He and the group are finally taking their music seriously. The plot then advances quickly, up to the point where Daisy Jones’s path intersects with that of the Six.
The band performed a sold-out concert in Chicago on October 4, 1977. This is the novel’s defining night, and the reader is left wondering what transpired. Daisy Jones and the Six disbanded in 1977 and refused to share their experiences until 1997. The band members are interviewed in the first section of the storyline, which is framed as a documentary. When the performance begins, the band members begin recalling earlier episodes and disclosing information not previously known.

After meeting Rod Reyes, they realize that if they want to build a reputation for themselves, they must be in California.
They move to California (the Dunne brothers, Camila and Karen Sirko). After performing at Filthy McNasty’s for a few months, the band chooses to rebrand themselves as the Six. Daisy has emerged from her cocoon and is singing, having spent her childhood attending acts on Sunset Strip. Daisy and the other members of the Six encounter Teddy Price shortly after signing with him. Over time, Teddy decides to form Daisy Jones and the Six.
