Where is Stanley Carter Now

Where is Alleged Attic-Squatter Stanley Carter Now? – This true-crime original that is weirder than fiction looks into the practice of secretively living in someone else’s home.

The majority of individuals have never heard of “phrogging” (pronounced “frogging”). Instead, it alludes to the peculiar occurrence of someone secretly residing under your house. Phrogging: Hider in My House, a new 10-part reality series on Lifetime, investigates how this bad behavior impacts its residents.

Crime dramas on the Lifetime channel are popular. Viewers request fresh thrillers every weekend, and the channel never disappoints. Lifetime has been producing some of the most spooky and stressful thriller flicks since the beginning of the year. Their most recent product is a true-crime thriller docuseries. It seemed both fascinating and disturbing, to put it mildly.

Therefore, it goes without saying that its third episode, “Living Among Us,” is no exception. If you’re interested in learning more about Stanley Carter, the squatter who occupies the Ferrance family home, we have the information for you.

Stanley Carter: Who is he?

Stanley Carter of Trumann, Arkansas, was living with friends in the Wilkes-Barre suburb of Plains Township in December 2008 when things started to go wrong. He was 21 at the time. He apparently was asked to leave by his hosts towards the middle of the month, which led him to enter the attic they shared with their next-door neighbour, Stacy Ferrance, through a trap door and stay there for about a week. But as he appeared to have left without telling anybody, his companions formally reported him missing to the police two days later, on December 21, 2008.

But by then, Stanley is said to have already started stealing from Stacy and her three kids, and as the days went by, the value of the things he stole increased. According to reports, he stole food, money, and clothing from not only the Ferrances but also their Christmas gifts, an iPod nano and a laptop, striking them twice on the actual holiday.

The latter really led to the youngster’s demise since he unintentionally left a soiled footprint behind, which Stacy discovered and immediately reported to the authorities. Stanley turned himself in on December 26 after authorities showed up with a search dog, but what’s most startling about it is that he was wearing the clothes of his victims when he descended from the attic.

As if that weren’t enough, searching the area turned up every item he had taken from the house, a note labelled “Stanley’s Christmas List” listing the same, and even emails he had created on the laptop he had stolen. The latter included one that said, in part, “I don’t want to return to jail… I’d rather be wanted,” he says, implying that he might have a noteworthy criminal history, but it’s unclear for what.

What Happened to Stanley Carter and Where Is He Now?

On the late evening of December 26, 2008, Stanley was arraigned on various counts of burglary, receiving stolen property, theft, and criminal trespassing. His bond was set at $25,000. He was then told to return to the Wilkes-Barre Luzerne County Prison, and his preliminary hearing was set on January 5; however, he quickly waived his right to the latter.

Early in January 2009, Stanley’s defence lawyer expressed his regret and anger at what had transpired. After that, he remained to himself and was relatively quiet up there. Unfortunately, it’s unclear exactly how the legal proceedings went on. All we know is that the man, who is now in his mid-30s, doesn’t appear to be imprisoned at present. Stanley now seems to keep his distance from the spotlight and the wrong side of the law, though we can’t be too confident of this.
