Who is Diana Oweiss in Gaslit Episode 5?
Diana Oweiss plays John N. Mitchell’s secretary in ‘gaslit.’ Mitchell is scheduled to take over as Nixon’s campaign chair at the start of the season. Diana can be seen sitting at her desk when John Dean (Dan Stevens) leaves Mitchell’s office and speaks with Jeb Magruder. During Mitchell’s time at CRP, she is likely to continue working for him (or CREEP, as it was often called).
Mitchell had left the campaign and the Nixon administration entirely by episode 5. Diana appears to have joined him back in his own practise. After Nixon’s re-election, the fifth episode takes place.
Mitchell attempts to contact Nixon but is unsuccessful. Despite winning two elections for Nixon, Mitchell is unhappy about the treatment he is receiving and remains steadfastly loyal. Diana goes into Mitchell’s office in episode 5 with some files that the firm’s partners had brought over for Mitchell to sign.
They appear to flirt for a few moments until Mitchell inquires about a call from the White House. Diana shrugs and adds that the White House staff is probably preoccupied.
She reassures Mitchell when he expresses his dissatisfaction. Diana assures Mitchell that she is just outside his door if he needs anything. She rubs his fingertips with hers as she passes over the documents. Martha picks up the phone late one night and hears her husband and his secretary discussing sex. As a result, the chasm between Mitchell and Martha widens even more.

Diana Oweiss is played by American actress Anne Dudek in the show ‘Gaslit.’ Dudek grew up in Newton, Massachusetts, after being born in Boston. Before attending Northwestern University, she attended Newton North High School. In 2001, Dudek made her television debut in an episode of ‘ER‘ from the eighth season. In the 2003 movie ‘The Human Stain,’ she played Lisa Silk for the first time.
